I just recently purchased a used pool table from Independent Billiards and had it installed by Joe and his team. I say with confidence that anyone considering using his services for a purchase or installation will be in excellent hands. Independent Billiards clearly “goes the extra mile”, and this is evident from start to finish. The beautiful furniture table I purchased had some wear and tear, and before buying it I asked Joe if he thought he could “touch it up” a bit. He said he would give it a try. When the table arrived and was installed, it looked beautiful and the small repairs made a remarkable difference. In addition, Joe remembered that I briefly mentioned I had 2 kids at home. He gave me 2 “short sticks” to go along with the 4 others he supplied. What else? A small billiards clock and a new box of chalk to match the lightly-colored felt. This service is impressive, but the repairs, cues, clock and chalk were – unknown to me – all included. He could have charged me for these extra services, and I’m sure his competitors do, but this is what sets Independent Billiards apart from the rest. Joe and team are the real deal, and I give them my highest recommendation.

Happy New Year, Joe and Emily. This is an open letter of endorsement of the great work done by this company. When I bought my Brunswick table on eBay, I started looking around for someone to do the crucial task of assembling it in my house. I was sure I could handle everything else on my own. A long and careful search revealed that Independent Billiard Services is the only logical choice. Ask around. You will come to the same conclusion. These guys are the best. The more I learned from Brunswick, internet blogs and professional publications, the more I realized that I should leave the entire job to professionals. So I had them drive up to Vermont, disassemble the table, take it to my house, and set it up. One of my wiser decisions for a myriad of reasons. If you're thinking about buying and/or transporting a pool table, save yourself a ton of grief and have these very knowledgeable people do what they do best. You will never regret your decision. These people know pool tables.

I contacted Independent Billiard Services after a web search about consigning my pool table. They quoted me a price range over the phone, explained their service in detail and I set up an appt. They came on time, we signed the contract, and they took the table apart and left my room clean and neat. Very professional and courteous. Six weeks later I received an e-mail saying my table had been sold and a check would be in the mail and I received it. If only all businesses were run so well, the USA would be doing just fine. I am writing to thank you all for a perfect job setting up my 9' table.  The appointment and setup were both handled with courtesy and efficiency.  I watched Joe and Chris do the install.  These guys really know what they are doing.  They were efficient and meticulous in leveling/setting up the slate. They did not rush.  They spent as much time as needed to do a perfect job on the table.  They really seemed to care to have the table as good as can be.  My table has never played as well as it did after they were done with the setup.  I am now able to consistently make long shots on my 9' table.  This was not the case before they did the install.  Thank you for a job well done.  For anyone looking for a new/used table, need their table setup, or are changing the cloth, Do yourself a favor and speak to these guys.  You will be very happy with their skills.  These guys are professionals when it comes to billiards :).

 Thanks for the great work that you did moving my old pool table for New York City to Connecticut.  Joe and Chris were in New York early and got started right away.  The pool table is very old and not in the best shape.  However, Joe saw that it had a sentimental value to me and treated it as such.  Joe and Chris worked hard on taking it apart, transporting it and putting it back together.  Thanks to them the table is in the best shape that it has been in for many decades!  Emily’s suggestion of the type and color for the table cover was right on the mark too.

Joe Famiglietti was very helpful with my purchase of an Olhausen Champion Pro 9' tournament table from him.  Joe delivered the table, and installed it for me very efficiently.  He arrived on time for the install appointment (over an hour and a half travel time) and did an excellent job.
